what is the DEP?

The Department of Environmental Protection or DEP, has a mission “to protect Pennsylvania's air, land and water from pollution and to provide for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment.”

What does a DEP Certification Mean?

We have obtained a public water supplier permit from the DEP specifically to haul drinking water.

This means the water we deliver will be clean and safe for drinking. This certification ensures we are delivering water the meets strict water quality standards. It also provides assurance to our customers on where the water is coming from, how our equipment is treated, and how the water is delivered.

How do we maintain our Certification?

We maintain it by regulating testing the water in our trucks according to DEP regulations. We also routinely clean and sanitize our trucks, tanks, fittings, and hoses. All tests and maintenance are reported to the DEP.

Our trucks are only filled at 3 specific approved sites. All three sites are public water sources who also follow DEP regulations.

Do we treat our Water?

No, all water in our trucks comes from a public water source we are permitted to haul from. The water is treated at the source. There is nothing we can do to change or counteract how the water is treated. If you would like more information on this, please call our office.

Who can We Serve?

Everyone! Whoever needs our services will get the same water. All of our trucks, equipment and employees follow the same rules and regulations regardless of what the water is to be used for.

Public water suppliers must contact and gain approval from the DEP prior to our delivery. Not all public water systems are compatible with water we deliver due to differences in the treatment process.
